Psychological thrillers are one of my favourite genres, but it can be difficult to find books that completely blow your mind with the plot.
Peter Swanson absolutely nailed it with this bizarre story about a man and woman who meet in an airport bar and decide to kill his wife (in the blurb). Just when I thought I knew where this was going, it tossed and turned and did so with such engaging language and grippingly flawed characters that I struggled to put it down.
I won't say much more - no spoilers, I promise - but if you like a thriller and haven't yet read this author then I urge you to. You won't regret it.
The Kind Worth Killing, published by Faber and Faber (UK) is 415 pages of pure page-turning excellence.
